The Philadelphia Housing Authority tasked Hunter Roberts with Phase IIC for new housing in the Martin Luther King Development in South Philadelphia. The scope of work included the demolition of an existing 5,200 SF community center and the construction of (19) three-bedroom, townhome units. All of the housing units are 3-story multi-family, wood-framed buildings with off-street parking. There are some accessible units included in the development including (1) unit designed as fully adaptable for wheelchair accessibility and (1) unit equipped for the hearing / vision impaired. Infrastructure improvements included new concrete street curbs, sidewalks, and street trees.
