BIM/VDC

Innovation

At Hunter Roberts we are constantly exploring emerging technology and techniques to improve our project deliverable from concept to reality while maintaining an eye on the bottom line. With VDC at its core and our three main pillars driving innovation are the people (end-user), the strategy (process), and the technology (tool). Our innovating efforts rotate around the project life cycle: design, build, and operate.
With the goal of optimizing the performance of our construction services, we use VDC techniques in conjunction with BIM throughout the pre-construction and construction phases of our project to enhance the construction management process and meet our client’s satisfaction.

Logistic Planning

Logistic Planning

Logistics planning refers to a drawing that highlights the sequence order of work, planning, execution, procurement, delivery, inventory management, and stationing of resources within a construction site. By developing a logistics plan, the team can effectively communicate and coordinate with all project stakeholders as well as local and federal authorities.
SCHEDULING and 4D BIM SEQUENCING

SCHEDULING and 4D BIM SEQUENCING

4D BIM Sequencing models depict the step-by-step sequence of work over a period of time. The model will optimize the construction schedule by identifying out-of-sequence work, time conflicts. or inefficient construction procedures.
CONSTRUCTABILITY REVIEW

CONSTRUCTABILITY REVIEW

By infusing construction knowledge and design detail into a 3D model, a constructability review can be utilized to better understand the intricacies of a project and its components.
ESTIMATING and QUANTITY TAKE-OFF

ESTIMATING and QUANTITY TAKE-OFF

BIM provides accurate measurements of square and linear footage of building structures and other components. This enables quick and precise pricing for materials.
CLASH DETECTION and CONFLICT RESOLUTION

CLASH DETECTION and CONFLICT RESOLUTION

BIM facilitates the identification, inspection, and reporting of the geometry interface between two virtual components, which potentially can create a clash. Once clashes are identified they can be reviewed and resolved by the project team.

Schuylkill Yards West Tower project, located at 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. The West Tower is part of a 14 acre innovation development in the University City area of Philadelphia, encompassing over 6.9 million square feet of office, lab, residential, retail, hotel, and green space. The West and East towers will be connected by the High Line Plaza, a new public space that will offer a variety of plants and social seating arrangements, a water feature, and provide space for programmed community events. the West tower will be a 28-story high-rise, mixed use tower that is approximately 350 feet in height, with two below-grade parking levels. the design plan show approximately 9,000 SF of retail; 198,310 for office space, 12,000SF for amenity space, and 18 levels of residential rooms, totaling approximately 265,000 SF. The below-grade garage will include two levels of parking, totaling approximately 58,000 SF.
