This was the first project in the Philadelphia area to be funded under the federal stimulus program, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The scope included renovations to 340 vacant, scattered site units such as upgraded electrical systems; new Energy Star HVAC systems, appliances, and windows; new kitchens and bathrooms; and other miscellaneous work. Several of these units had previously been modified to meet ADA Standards. At the start of construction, the units were surveyed to determine variances from the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS) and renovated accordingly. Hunter Roberts self-performed almost all demolition and carpentry work on this project.
