NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC) contracted Hunter Roberts to expand an existing one-story building into a new Ambulatory Surgery Center and Family Health Center. The team did so by converting the roof and existing HVAC equipment space into interstitial mechanical space and adding two floors above. The first of the new floors houses the ambulatory surgery area while the upper floor contains the Family Health Center. As part of the scope, Hunter Roberts installed new HVAC, IT, and telecom systems to service the additional floors. This project falls under NYULMC’s Master Plan, an effort to decompress the main Lutheran campus by relocating non-inpatient services to adjacent properties.
