NYP Lawrence Hospital Catheterization Lab
Hunter Roberts transformed an existing 4,000-SF cardiac monitoring unit into a new Cath lab suite with Phillips equipment. The project was bought out as a fast-tracked high profile upgrade to NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Lawrence Hospital as the hospital’s first Cath Lab. The project consisted of demolition, new fit out, a new AHU, chiller, desiccant wheel, distribution panels for power, and commissioning/integration of the existing systems. Additional structural components were installed to allow for expansion for a second Cath lab upgrade within the following year. Extensive safety and ICRA level 3 and 4 coordination were conducted as a good portion of the infrastructure work was done in the ORs during their normal functions. Constant communication plans and progress meetings were held to update the owner and their department heads in order to limit slowing construction and impacts to patients. The project was completed on time and under budget.
