Queens, NY
Scroll >

This phased installation project provided a new chiller plant to service the entire campus of Northwell Health’s Forest Hills Hospital. Hunter Roberts coordinated and installed the custom EAS Air Handler purchased by Northwell Health; including steel structure, rigging, tin and piping connections. Coordination with the hospital’s engineering staff was required in order to maintain building services throughout the project, which was performed against an accelerated schedule, requiring expedited drawings and approvals. This complex and challenging project involved the demolition and removal of existing equipment in the mechanical room and at the roof of this fully occupied facility within a very challenging schedule. The scope of work included installation of a new chiller, two new cooling towers, a new custom EAS air handling unit that measures 56’ long x 28’ wide x 17’ high. This unit sits on dunnage that is approximately six feet above the roof. Project scope also included new electrical and controls services, new pumps, new piping and a new roof.
