MSK Clinical Laboratory Medicine Building
The new building has allowed Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) to condense many clinical laboratory services into one main clinical lab building. The new lab building accommodates Central Accessioning, Hematology, Flow Cytometry, Cell Therapy, Mass Spectrometry, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Infectious Disease, a blood bank, and several other departments. Project scope included 12 months of pre-construction, demolition of an existing building, excavation to create a 50-foot deep foundation with three below-grade basement levels, and construction of the laboratory medicine building. Founded in 1884, MSK is the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center with 24 locations spread across the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. It is renowned for its exceptional patient care and its dedication to innovative research.
