Hudson Greene is one of the largest mixed use developments in New Jersey. Construction consisted of two 50-story, 981 unit residential towers, a 10-story, 1,000 car garage, and a 10,000-SF ground floor area for high-end retail space. The entire project totaled 1.5 million SF on the Jersey City waterfront. The concrete cast-in-place structure, which is supported at grade by massive grade beams and pile caps and thousands of 20- to 30-foot-deep piles, added to one of the most complex single structural packages awarded in Jersey City. The towers contain both condominium and rental apartments and all are outfitted with floor to ceiling curtain wall, hard wood flooring, marble bathrooms, European-style kitchens, and high-end appliances. Built-in amenities include fitness centers, saunas, private theater rooms, virtual golf, cafes, libraries, business centers, and an outdoor Olympic size swimming pool. Each tower is owned separately: Equity Residential owns one, K. Hovnavian the other. This unique dual-ownership situation required Hunter Roberts to develop and employ a meticulous communication strategy in order to keep all parties up to date with information and to fulfill the goals of two clients.
