Hunter Roberts provided the pre-construction and construction services for the Graduate Hotel, located on Cornell Tech’s new campus on Roosevelt Island. Built alongside the Verizon Executive Education Center at the entrance to the new campus, the Graduate Hotel contains public and academic space on the ground floor in order to host conferences and other events for Cornell Tech and Cornell University at large. The building also contains 224 guestrooms, a ground-floor restaurant, café, conference rooms, fitness facility, and rooftop restaurant. Hunter Roberts’ scope of work included the construction of the hotel itself and the connector wing to the Executive Education Center. All utilities are integrated with the campus utilities. The Graduate Hotel opened in Fall 2019 to both academic guests as well as general visitors to New York City. Part of Cornell University’s graduate school system, Cornell Tech hosts graduate and research programs that integrate technology with business and creative thinking. This project is LEED Silver
