This new 3-story, 30,000 SF residence hall with 101 rooms (101 beds) combined with 10,000 SF of interior renovations to an existing, vacant 3-story building for an additional 21 rooms (29 beds), provided Bryn Mawr College with its first new residence hall since 1969. The hall, located near the main campus entrance, forms a gateway to the existing Rockefeller Hall and features beautiful views of Bryn Mawr’s historic campus from two glass-walled lounges. The entire dorm complex is handicap-accessible due to an elevator that serves all three floors. Each floor also features a separate TV lounge and a laundry room. The building connects across a central courtyard to an existing residence hall and dining hall and includes community spaces for studying and socializing. The façade is a mixture of storefronts, fiber cement siding and masonry. Site upgrades included pavers, concrete walkways, landscaping, and an arbor.
