RXR Realty and Long Island University (LIU) hired Hunter Roberts for their first collaboration project in central Brooklyn. RXR LIU Brooklyn includes a 34-story, 424,311 SF residential tower and a 151,077 SF parking garage. This project featured 112,140 SF of Community Facility renovations at Long Island University Brooklyn. Upgrades included a multipurpose rooftop field, minor cosmetic upgrades to an adjacent courtyard, and several university back-of-house rooms. The project will demolish the existing LIU athletic field. Demolition includes all fences, bleachers, light poles, scoreboards, and dugouts from LIU’s soccer, baseball, and softball fields.

The 34-story tower has two podium levels, mega-columns between the second and third floors, 30 floors of residential units and amenity areas, and an accessible rooftop on the 22nd floor. The bi-level garage was erected alongside the residential rise. These new structures serve residential renters and the nearby university’s athletics and building maintenance functions.
