Hunter Roberts is performing pre-construction and construction management services for a new 50-story, residential rental tower in Long Island City, New York. The 365-unit concrete structure with curtainwall exterior tower will include market rate and affordable housing, amenity spaces, and a park located in the adjacent lot. Amenity spaces to include a basketball court, gym, two yoga studios, and rooftop deck. The logistics are extremely challenging due to the elevated Ed Koch roadway, distance to the subway tunnel, limited building frontage, and close proximity to neighboring buildings. Challenges require monitoring of MTA system and neighboring buildings during construction.
