Hunter Roberts performed 4,500 SF of renovations to this historic Art Deco building in Midtown Manhattan. This project entailed work to the lobby and entrance, as well as the retail facade. High-end finishes and materials in the lobby include: Terrazzo flooring, Turkish fluted limestone, and glass and stainless steel walls and columns. A new security desk was installed with MEP upgrades throughout the lobby and retail spaces. The lobby renovations consist of McGrory glass with new mat fabric ceilings, walnut millwork cantilever walls, canopy/marquee curtain wall storefronts and Terrazzo flooring. In addition Hunter Roberts provided general contracting services for the build out of four retail spaces totaling 11,200 SF. The building, formerly known as the Newsweek building, has been renamed the Burberry building and is being repositioned to attract new retail and commercial tenants. The project includes retail spaces such as Florsheim, Burberry, Burberry Brit, and TD Bank. All projects were carefully phased to ensure seamless and uninterrupted operations in this class “A” building
