Hunter Roberts is providing pre-construction and construction services for what will be one of the most extraordinary residential buildings in New York City.  The yet to be named building on West 57th Street is a unique pyramid shape that will rise to 33 occupied stories at its tallest point at the northeast corner of the site.  The building, on the far west side of New York City will slope down to the one story at the west and south facades.

The building will contain two levels of underground parking / mechanical space and three levels of mechanical space at the top of the building. The project will include:

  • 611,000 SF of 80/20 residential units
  • 121,000 SF of commercial / community facilities
  • 59,000 SF of retail
  • 107,000 SF of parking
  • 37,000 SF of mechanical

The ground level will contain retail stores, the second level will contain commercial and / or community facilities.  The residential units are arranged on the upper floors around the perimeter of the site; the central portion of the second level will be decked over and its roof will serve as a landscaped courtyard for building residents. The building will participate in the 80/20 Affordable Housing program. In keeping with the developer’s history and commitment to constructing green buildings, this project is intended to incorporate a variety of sustainable features. The building is currently targeting LEED Gold Certification. The building structure is primarily concrete, with a transfer to steel supports at the top story.
