Hunter Roberts performed major renovations and constructed a new addition to Bridesburg Elementary School. The scope of work involved the demolition of existing structures, including a one-story brick kindergarten building; the addition of a new 2-story, 30,000 SF facility to house the K-5 educational program, which included classrooms, computer lab, administrative offices and building support; and 36,769 SF renovations within the existing one and two-story building for classrooms, ADA/life safety upgrades, art room, music room, multi-purpose room and cafeteria. The new building consists of a steel structure with a masonry exterior skin including aluminum windows with insulated glass units and metal panel systems. The school now accommodates 405 students. Site development included new utilities, storm water retention systems, paving of parking lots, sidewalks, play areas and landscaping. LEED Gold Certified under the LEED for Schools v2.0 Rating System.
