West 57 Top Out

November 1, 2014 – On October 31, leaders from Hunter Roberts Construction Group, The Durst Organization, Bjarke Ingles Group, and SLCE Architects—along with other stakeholders, team members, and public officials—gathered at 625 West 57th Street for the Topping Out of West 57. The iconic mixed-use residential building, which has been a pivotal part of Hunter Roberts’ portfolio for the last several years, has reached the conclusion of its superstructure phase with a total of 37,000 CY of concrete placed to build the structure’s 33 occupiable floors. An additional 10 floors of steel were later added to create the building’s peak; floors that will host the pyramid-shaped structure’s custom cooling towers. The building’s first TCO is scheduled for early 2016.
