Hunter Roberts is providing pre-construction and construction management services for the conversion of an existing 1960’s era middle school into a 105,000 SF state-of-the-art, technology-enriched high school for Mastery Charter Schools. The work includes modernizing all mechanical and electrical infrastructure with new electric service and switchgear, new HVAC systems including the addition of air conditioning throughout, modernizing lighting with energy efficient fixtures, and a new fire alarm system. All classrooms are to be reconfigured to reflect state teaching requirements for the anticipated 450 students. The technology-enriched component requires complete A/V teledata wiring and the construction of Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Labs. Other building improvements include upgrading the existing gymnasium, kitchen, cafeteria, administrative offices, ADA-compliant toilet rooms, lockers, casework, flooring, and ceilings. Site improvements include storm water management and ADA-compliant paving, hardscaping and landscaping.
