Cesario to Moderate Mentorship Panel at ENR Conference

April 23, 2015— Stephanie Cesario, LEED AP BD+C, Vice President and Director of Interiors at Hunter Roberts, will moderate the “Successful Women Mentors” panel at the 6th annual ENR Groundbreaking Women in Construction (GWIC) conference. The GWIC conference takes place on May 6, 2015 at the TKP New York Conference Center in New York City.

This year’s conference, titled “Across the Generations: Addressing the Elephants Still in the Room,” will tackle common issues professional women face and explore how gender dynamics have and have not evolved in the modern workplace. Stephanie’s “Successful Women Mentors” panel is comprised of senior-level women and men from the construction and engineering sectors.

“I have been lucky to have had several great women mentors influence my career over the years and I have worked hard to return that favor,” Stephanie said, when asked what drew her to the ENR GWIC event and this topic in particular. “Mentorship can have a tremendous impact on young professionals, regardless of gender. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn lessons from leaders in the AEC industries.”

The panel will share their experiences with women’s leadership and mentorship as part of a discussion focusing on the challenges women face when mentoring men, as well as common issues men have with women mentors. Panelists will speak to first-person experiences where women mentors have been effective, as well as the dynamics that made these mentor-mentee relationships successful.
